Mount Bondone is a source of great relaxing time in summertime too. Along walking tours to Palon
( 2090 m ), Cima Verde ( 2102 m ), Cornetto ( 2180 m), Doss d' Abramo ( 2140 m), you will meeting cows, horses, sheep and goats, pasturing in the green alpine meadows. If you are lucky, you will have the chance to meet even foxes, marmots, or wild animals like bears.

Trentino is absolutely a snow paradise for thousand and thousand of ski lovers. Bondone Mount, 12 kilometres far off from Miramonti Hotel, is one of the oldest ski resorts of Trentino. From the Garniga's snowfields of the Viote ( 1600 m ), you will be surrounded by a wonderful and beautiful winter mountain panorama, with majestic views over Brenta Dolomites, Marmolada Group and Lagorai Chain.
Mount Bondone skiing season opens in early December and close at the end of March. Between Vaneze and Vason there is 19 runs, which offers more than 20 km of ski and snowboards opportunities. Access to the runs is provided by six chairlifts and a drag lift. The cross country skiing is one of the many attractions of the Viote resort, who offers nearly 35 km of trails for freestyle and classic ski. The Centre supplies many services, such ski schools, ski waxing and repairs, toboggans, sledges, dog sledge, rental ski, bar and restaurant.
Garniga, is a region, and not an urban area. Garniga Terme is the sum of several farm settlements which bear witness of medieval German colonization. Garniga Nuova, the municipal territory, includes villages such Piazza, Lago ( seat of the City Hall ), Scanderlotti, Gatter, Cires and La Val. Garniga was uninhabited since the Middle Neolithic ( about 3000 B.C. ). The first recorded mention of the village date back to the 13th Century. The colonization of this area by German settlers who populated many of these mountains took place in those times. From the north other skilled German miners called by the Prince Bishop of Trento came as silver's prospectors of the Principality. But when the new camers realized that the mines were not yielding silver, in their German language said to the Prince Bishop that there was "Gar Nichts" silver, phrase meaning " Near Nothing" in English. So far, and forever, from the expression " Gar Nichts", later has been derivate the toponymous of Garniga.
